The My Route app lets you take the power of Lorry Route's planning, guidance, obstruction avoidance and compliance with you as you drive, keeps your vehicles, drivers and environment safe.
The project has web application and a website. Complex architecture based on AWS, uses MapBox for core navigation features. Lorry Route also has the technology to determine the shortest route that’s best for your bank balance as well as your business carbon footprint.
One of the most challenging aspects of developing were ensuring the accuracy of the map data and the routing algorithms. Route navigation apps need to provide users with accurate directions that take into account factors such as traffic, road closures, low bridges and construction zones. This required a significant amount of data processing.
Throughout the development process, we conducted a thorough analysis of various factors that tailors all routes to your vehicles, ensuring you never hit a bridge, or get stuck down a road too narrow. This analysis helped us design a platform that addresses the needs and users' concerns, determines the cheapest route for your vehicle; avoiding Low Emission Zones (LEZs) across the country, sticking to all city schemes (including LLCS).
Lorry Route is a single point of truth for drivers, fleet managers and local authorities, bringing everyone together to give an efficient, effective transport system with minimal disruption to local communities.
