Testing MVP idea on ready-made solutions (WordPress, Tilda etc) for On-Demand startup

Clever idea or time&money waste?

So, that's the starting point – you are ready to start your first project in the on-demand service niche. You probably have a banging head from ideas, solutions, and advice. The most exciting part of building a startup is the uncertainty that lies in the very fact whether it will work or not. Having a startup idea and building it does mean a lot for the founders. It feels exciting to build a business on a creative line of thought, something that did not exist before. However, it is equally important to test and validate the idea in the form of an MVP.

As a prototyping tool or in terms of a proof of concept, you can set up a WordPress solution in a matter of days. Bundle up a bunch of plugins and find a decent theme that would reflect the user experience and you're ready to give it a shot. The complicated part is that a WordPress solution can handle a real product with greater difficulties once you pass the MVP validation successfully. It's not only about scalability but also about exposing your product to the public and competitors when it might still be of low quality which could damage your brand and idea at all, which will lead to false proof of concept test results. This is clearly what every founder is trying to avoid.

While many people think it is not easy to scale a startup and get access to funding, it might be true, because if you'll have a winning idea – you should start your project once again from the scratch if you decide to choose WordPress as your starting platform. On the other hand, a well-built MVP, using common scalable solutions, also becomes a milestone of success for many business ideas by opening up ways for product or service improvement.
